Nov 18th is our 30th Anniversary Celebration!
New Delhi Restaurant is getting ready for their 30th Anniversary Celebration Extravaganza! There will be music, dancing, henna, lots of laughs and more food than you can believe. As always, all of our merriment is for a good cause: the kids of Compassionate Chefs Cafe.
Our goal has always been to help kids become citizens of the world by connecting kids across the street in the Tenderloin of San Francisco with kids across the ocean at the Gandhi Ashram in Ashram in Ahmedabad, India. Please join us in this celebration to us help the kids become global citizens.
….Thirty years later. This is a Pay-It-Forward event and we only ask that you donate what you feel moved to give. Suggested donation is $50 a person. All funds are split evenly between the Tenderloin After School Program and the Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad. Compassionate Chefs Cafe keeps back nothing for operating expenses; all goods and services are donated. Your donation is fully tax deductible. (Non-Profit Tax ID 94-3136771)

6:00pm – 9:00pm
New Delhi Restaurant, 160 Ellis St, San Francisco
Every so often a group of angels from Open Table gather at New Delhi Restaurant with Ranjan playing the role of Charlie. They talk about how to solve the problems of the world, where their energy will do the most good and what the next mission should be. Today they decided to keep it simple: Enjoy a delicious lunch, some wonderful company and continue the mission of supporting Compassionate Chefs Cafe with a spontaneous $100 donation. Thanks so much, Denise, Amanda and Chiara!
Every donation helps – if you would like to help too, please click here and donate in any amount.
The Voyage of Black Pepper
The Asian Society of Northern California is hosting their annual open house. This year, the food sponsor and speaker will be none other than Ranjan Dey! As part of the evening’s festivities, Ranjan will be giving a talk about the Indian city of Kochi and the role pepper plays in the history of India and it’s food.
Anyone and everyone are welcome to this event – it is an open house, after all!
