WHO: Esteemed Chef Sanjeev Kapoor will be highlighting the future of Indian cuisine and supporting Compassionate Chefs Cafe with the west coast launch of his best selling cookbook “How To Cook Indian”. Compassionate Chefs Cafe is a San Francisco-based non-profit founded by Chef Ranjan Dey of New Delhi Restaurant.

Compassionate Chefs Cafe works with the Tenderloin After School Program (TASP) and the Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad, India to provide them with important resources to become members of a global village.

Chef Kapoor is the most celebrated face of Indian cuisine today, with best-selling cookbooks, a beloved television persona, restaurant consulting, and numerous culinary accolades, including “Best Chef of the Year” by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the “Hall of Fame Award” from The Star of the Industry Awards for excellent contributions to the field of hospitality. His 18-year run as host of cooking show Khana Khazana and his own food network, has contributed to making him a beloved household
name.

About our evening: In celebration of the combined talents of Chefs Sanjeev Kapoor and Ranjan Dey, the menu will feature a combination of dishes from Chef Kapoor’s best-selling cookbook How To Cook Indian and New Delhi Restaurant menu.

The book will be available for purchase at our event, along with an opportunity to have it personalized by Chef Kapoor.
